League is a city in Texas, within the Greater Houston Metropolitan area. The city has a population of 83.560 as of the 2010 census.
The story of the city tells about an Indian village, which later became a city. Three different families named the Butlers, Cowarts, and Perkins founded League in its place. First, the city settlers raised cattle. Eventually, after the Clear Creek Development was organized in 1980, settlers sold their lands to farmers for agricultural purposes.
League is home to several waterside resorts, such as South Shore Harbor Resort, Waterford Harbor and Yacht Club Marina. The latter is very popular among Houston residents.
For fans of water-related activities, the city offers Waterford Harbor Yacht Club Marina for yachting. It also has provisions for other water activities. For outside activities, League City Park offers a playground for children. Moreover, once you jump on the music notes on the ground, the music starts playing.
