H-E-B, the well-known grocery store chain in Texas, is currently on the lookout for full-time truck drivers. Specifically, the store is seeking those who are locally based. The company’s trying to expand significantly, which means that they need more transportation help. Hopefully, that will mean some great new jobs for Texans.
The company has a variety of different types of stores, all spring from its original grocery store format. In fact, the stores now have a H-E-B Plus version which is essentially a Lifestyle Store. In this version, they offer groceries, a pharmacy, and lifestyle goods. Included among these ‘lifestyle’ goods are things like party supplies, bbq smokers, coolers, and even electronics. With this new plan in tow, H-E-B is gunning for some expansion.
Truck Drivers Needed for Expansion
Consequently, with all this expansion the company is looking to staff up on more local drivers. All drivers are entitled to benefits immediately upon being hired. Moreover, all Houston drivers are promised that they’ll be home every day. Still, they must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
H-E-B intends to conduct interviews for the open trucking spots on April 12. Even better, the company plans to make offers immediately, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Officials will be meeting people at the Houston Community College, situated at 555 Community College Dr., in Houston. If you have any interest in one of these jobs, that’ll be the place to go.
Ideally, the company prefers drivers who are experienced and have logged two years of CDL time. Please feel free to visit the company site regarding this opportunity. Also, check out the other H-E-B job openings at H-E-B careers website.
