Border Security Committee is going to be added by the Texas Legislature. Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa is among the first lawmakers that are assiging to this new post. This assignment has been giving to Hinojosa, according to Border Report. Also, he did speak with Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Hinojosa is going to begin to study all this committee does entails.

Border Security Committee Is Presenting to the Public

Last Week, Patrick did announce the new committee during breakfast in Houston. “There is an influx of illegal immigrants plus drugs across our border. There is a prominent increase in funding and personnel to the border, today, thus I am announcing the creation of the Senate Committee on Border Security,” Patrick has said in a statement.

Military Experience is Necessary to be Involving With the Committee

“Actually, I have selected members with military experience for the committee. This is since they have the experience plus the knowledge of operations, strategy, and tactics to best serve,” he said.

In fact, Hinojosa is a lawyer and a retired Marine. He served during the Vietnam War.

“Also, Senator Hinojosa has volunteered for the U.S. Marines. He is a Vietnam combat veteran. Also, he is a Marine’s Marine. Plus it represents a large portion of our Southern division,” Patrick said.

In fact, chaired by Senator Brian Birdwell, the new Border Security Committee, he is a Republican from a city in Texas. Senator Bob Hall is a Republican from another Texas city, also he has been assigned to the committee, Patrick announced.

In fact, Birdwell is a U.S. Army veteran. He is retiring as a lieutenant colonel after 20 years of service.

Hall graduated from The Citadel and was a captain in the U.S. Air Force.

Falling under the purview of the Senate Committee is what border security issues on the Veteran Affairs. It is border security which is now is going to be renamed to simply the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs,” he said.

Failed, Open-Boundary Policies

“In fact, public safety is the government’s first responsibility. There is really no greater threat to public safety in Texas. That is right now an issue than the failed, open-boundary policies of the Biden Administration,” Patrick said.
